Your file number is found in the upper right-hand corner of the Letter of Conditional Eligibility issued to you by the DFTPS.
When creating an account, what information do I enter under Program?
If you are referred by the MEES, enter Teaching. If you are registered in an undergraduate program, enter your program of study.
Do I need to rewrite both tasks in the professional writing tasks section of the exam if I passed one of the tasks?
Yes. In order to receive a pass on the professional writing tasks section of the exam, you must simultaneously pass both tasks during an exam session.
How will I receive my results?
The CEETC will send an email notification advising you when the results can be accessed on line.
When is the English Exam for Teacher Certification (EETC) offered?
The exam is offered:
Spring – April/May
Summer – July (MEES and MATL)
Fall – November/December
Exam dates will be posted on the CEETC.ca website.

I am a MEES candidate, where can I write the English Exam for Teacher Certification (EETC)?
Candidates referred to write the exam by the DFTPS write the exam at Bishop’s University, Concordia University or McGill University. The option to select the location, date and time for the exam will be made available to the candidate during the registration process.
